Disconnecting, Rocking Out, and Heading Off: The Ultimate Week Ahead

The Remoteshop and RemoteFixer system is officially signed off, the email auto-responders are active, and for the first time in a long while, the workbench is completely clear. A full week of zero remote control repairs, no customer inquiries to answer, and complete peace of mind—and it’s a double header of a break this time around.

First up, it’s proper family holiday time at Center Parcs. We're heading off to disconnect, get out into the woodland trails, dive into the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, and just enjoy some quality time together without the phone ringing. It’s the perfect reset before flipping the switch into full-on monster rock mode.

To wrap up the week, I’m heading straight from family downtime over to Newark Showground for my very first Stonedead Festival on Friday and Saturday. I’m no stranger to music festivals, but Stonedead’s setup is brilliant: one stage, zero set-time clashes, and none of that mad sprinting across a muddy field. Pitching up camp with the gang, opening a cold drink, and soaking in the atmosphere with great mates is going to be a belter. The lineup this year is absolute fire—heavy metal royalty like Accept delivering precision riffs, the legendary Magnum, and Europe headlining to bring the house down.

The phone lines are officially routed through AirLandline to handle everything professionally while I'm away, leaving me with zero work worries—just family time, great music, top mates, and a full battery recharge before getting back to the workbench.

Catch you all on the flip side!
